Chuck Norris is getting his own mobile game called “Nonstop Chuck Norris.” It will be a twist on the endless runner genre that can also be played with only your thumb. Roblox has raised $92 million to expand its gaming platform. The primary focus of the new investment is in hiring and support of the company’s infrastructure. The multi-platform game currently has 48 million active users every month. The company wants the Roblox experience to be seamless and keep up with growing use on mobile devices. (Forbes)
“World of Warcraft” veterans have formed Frostkeep Studios. The studio quietly formed last year, but announced itself this week with the unveiling of its first project, a team-based survival game called “Rend.” The studio’s co-founders met while working on “WoW” and teamed up again at Carbine Studios on “WildStar.” (GamesIndustry.biz)
