Skillz CEO Named to San Francisco Business Times’ 40 Under 40!
Our CEO and founder, Andrew Paradise, was recently named to San Francisco Business Times’ 40 Under 40 Class of 2018. This prestigious list highlights top business leaders that are making an impact, as well as actively shaping the future of the local business landscape.
Members of the 2018 cohort were selected based on creativity, passion and perseverance, and were recognized last night for their drive and accomplishments during an awards ceremony held on the Club Level of the San Francisco Giants’ AT&T Park!
The ceremony last night brought together honorees including Adam Blitzer, Executive Vice President and General Manager of Sales Cloud at Salesforce, Gaye Erkan, President of First Republic Bank, Nathaniel Sillin, Senior Director of Global Corporate Communications of Visa, and Erin Yang, Vice President of Platform Technology Product and Strategy of Workday to name a few.
These 40 leaders span from all and any industry, including tech, healthcare, law, food, real estate, philanthropy and (of course) eSports!
As a lifelong gamer, Andrew founded Skillz in 2012 with an ambitious goal – to bring eSports to everyone. With six granted patents, and a dozen more pending from the United States Patent and Trademark Office, Andrew is an innovator and natural entrepreneur.

Last year, Andrew led Skillz through major product releases including the world’s first eSports ticker to enhance the quality of live-streaming content, and the world’s largest multi-app chat technology to connect the world’s 2.6 billion mobile gamers. Both technologies marked significant milestones not just for Skillz, but also the entire mobile eSports industry.
The remarkable and exponential growth of Skillz demonstrates the power and potential of the eSports market, in addition to Andrew’s abilities as a visionary leader. Under his guidance, Skillz was also named the #1 fastest-growing company in America by Inc. Magazine, topping its annual Inc. 5000 list with a three-year revenue growth rate of over 50,000%.
We’re incredibly honored and proud of Andrew’s well-deserved recognition. Check out his San Francisco Business Times profile to learn even more about him!
