We are proud to share that our Communications Lead, Roxana Bostwick, has been named to PRWeek’s U.S. Champions of PR. This esteemed list highlights the accomplishments of communications experts who go above and beyond baseline businesses goals to achieve nothing short of excellence.

The women on this list are chosen for their creativity, innovation and results-driven success. They are the professionals who inspire those around them daily and push others on their team to do their best. Roxana’s fellow honorees consist of an impressive group of leaders from top PR agencies including Edelman and FleishmanHillard, as well as executives from prominent companies including PwC, DocuSign, KPMG, Southwest Airlines and PayPal.

As one of the youngest recipients of this nationwide award, Roxana (A.K.A. Roxie) exemplifies all of these traits and more. Just over a year after graduating college, she joined the Skillz team as PR Manager and built the public relations department from the ground up. In her first two months, she secured nine speaking events for our executives and has continued excelling to grow that number to more than 30.

While managing the PR program to achieve record highs across press coverage, speaking engagements, award wins and social media engagement, Roxie is simultaneously constucting her PR department from the ground up. She now directly manages four junior staff members, training and mentoring them to grow and take on an increasing amount of responsibility and ownership as she continues to hire additional team members.

Roxie’s innate drive has motivated her in setting aggressive goals for both herself and her growing team because she knows anything is possible when she gives 200% in both planning and execution. She consistently takes on advanced responsibilities and has a genuine passion for finding how to create the largest impact for every department company-wide. By leaving her comfort zone as a rising star at an agency and stepping up into the head PR role at a private company so early in her career, she has been able to grow and excel at an uncommonly rapid pace.

“She may be young, but her maturity and experience have resulted in an incredible track record far beyond her years,” says Skillz co-founder Casey Chafkin.

At just 25 years old, Roxie consistently harnesses her ambition, motivation and creativity to secure impressive press placements and numerous awards, including our #1 ranking on the Inc. 5000 as the fastest-growing company in America and acclaim as the first eSports company on the CNBC Disruptor 50. Her advanced skill level, attention to detail and inspirational nature have earned her the right to be named a Champion of PR.

“These 30 women are more than top performers. They are truly champions of the craft.”
